Fertility Acupuncture
We know that trying to fall pregnant isn't always as easy as we're led to believe. Whatever stage you're at on on your way to starting or growing your family, we can support you and your unique situation.

As a member of the Acupuncture Fertility Network, Rebecca is fully trained on the latest research from a western medicine, functional medicine and holistic perspective and uses this knowledge to provide the best possible standards of care.

It doesn't stop with your pregnancy either, acupuncture is safe throughout pregnancy and can help to ease symptoms such as morning sickness, manage any stress or anxiety, ease pain or discomfort and support you with any health concerns we would usually treat. There is strong evidence to support the use of acupuncture for turning breach babies and for preparing the body for labour. We really can help you at every stage of your fertility journey!

You can find out more about our treatments and the way we work below, or don't forget you can also book a FREE Discovery Call if you'd like to talk to us before booking an appointment.
How can we support you?
At Thrive Acupuncture Clinic, we've undertaken advanced level training in both natural and assisted fertility acupuncture as well as obstetrics (acupuncture in pregnancy) and can offer specialist support to help you achieve your dream of a healthy pregnancy.

We do this by asking a lot of questions, really taking time to listen to the answers and get to the bottom of any issues that may be impacting your fertility. We work with fertility nutritionists and independent testing firms to offer a full package of nutritional advice and guidance, blood and microbiome testing (where required) and high quality supplements.

Natural or Assisted Conception Support
Acupuncture is a fabulous way to help optimise your health and well-being when trying to conceive. Acupuncture works in a number of ways to reduce inflammation in the body, support healthy blood flow, reduce stress and balance hormones. We can address any known issues or complications you may have such as irregular periods, PCOS, fibroids, luteal phase issues, male factor issues and more whilst also managing stress and anxiety and supporting you along the way.

Whether you're trying to conceive naturally or are using assisted conception such as IVF, acupuncture can help. We work alongside any other treatments you're having and as a proud member of the Acupuncture Fertility Network, we keep up to date with all the latest innovations and developments to ensure you receive the best possible care.

Nutrition Support & Testing
During your initial consultation, we'll explore your medical history, your menstrual health, lifestyle and nutrition and any test results you may have. Using our specialist knowledge and experience, we'll put together a treatment plan and recommendations regarding nutrition, lifestyle and we may also suggest relevant testing where appropriate (this could include blood testing, semen analysis and microbiome testing).

If you choose to take out one of our packages, you'll have access to one to one nutritional support from a specialist fertility nutritionist as well as discounted supplements and testing.

Pregnancy & Post Partum
The support we offer doesn't stop with a positive pregnancy test! We can continue to support you throughout your pregnancy with mental and emotional well-being, and a range of pregnancy symptoms. Acupuncture has also been found to help soften the cervix and ready the body for childbirth, regular sessions from 36 weeks could help reduce the length of your labour and the likelihood of intervention being necessary. We can also help if you go overdue or if baby is in a breach position and needs turning! For pregnancy support please book a regular acupuncture consultation, for breach babies, you can book a specific session or get in touch for guidance.
Fertility Acupuncture Treatment Options
Here at Thrive Acupuncture Clinic, our preferred approach is to work with patients over at least a 12 week period. The reason for this is that it takes roughly that time for the follicles to mature and a similar time for the development of the sperm. Working with you during this time enables us to make changes that help ensure an optimal environment for conception.

Whilst that's the ideal, we understand that it's not always possible and it's important to remember that even the slightest change can make a big difference when it comes to fertility! Whatever your situation, we will always find a way to work with you and support you as best we can.
If you're looking for short term IVF support (e.g. pre & post embryo transfer), please get in touch with us so we can advise you on the best timing prior to booking.
