About Acupuncture

What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine therapy in which very fine needles are inserted into specific points in the body with the aim of restoring balance. We now know that acupuncture works by triggering the body's healing response, calming the nervous system, regulating hormones and releasing endorphins.

At Thrive Acupuncture Clinic we offer traditional acupuncture combined with a modern understanding of your condition and overall health and well-being to deliver effective results. As a degree trained acupuncturist, I've trained in a range of techniques and styles to offer you the best treatment for your specific needs.

We treat everyone as an individual, no one patient or health condition is the same and we fully tailor your treatment just for you and your wonderful unique self! In order to do this, we undertake a thorough consultation and use traditional pulse taking and tongue assessment to compile a diagnosis unique to you.
Why have acupuncture?
Acupuncture can be used to treat a wide range of both physical and emotional conditions. At Thrive Acupuncture Clinic, we always take the time to get to the root cause of your symptoms which is why acupuncture can be so effective.

Rebecca is an excellent acupuncturist with a genuine warm and caring approach. She was able to understand my issues regarding the menopause as well as offer a treatment plan to suit me. She's extremely knowledgeable and skilled. Highly recommend her!
Your Acupuncturist
My name is Rebecca Klouda
Hi! I'm Rebecca, acupuncturist and founder of Thrive Acupuncture Clinic.
I discovered acupuncture during my own fertility journey and fell in love with how it made me feel!

A few years later, I decided to leave my corporate career and re-train as an acupuncturist. I now hold a BSc degree in Acupuncture with first class honours and I've also undertaken a number of qualifications post graduation, including specialist training in both natural and assisted fertility, obstetrics and post partum acupuncture, advanced cosmetic facial acupuncture and mycology (medicinal grade mushroom supplements)..

I'm delighted to be able to welcome people to the calming, peaceful haven that is the acupuncture clinic. We're located in an historic mill building by the river on the outskirts of Otley and easily accessible from Ilkley, Leeds and Harrogate.
